At Vanessa’s Village we believe it takes a village to raise a child, and we are a village raising up children of God to KNOW their Papa, KNOW their identity, and KNOW their call.

We are a family knit together by the grace of God for such a time as this. The Lord brought Sean, Marissa, and Vanessa together in a radically unusual way, and through their story, many have come to join the Village. The Village is a ministry that works to teach, equip, and send out other lovers of Jesus. We do this by reaching the ONE in front of us in many different aspects. (See Ministries) Sean and Marissa adopted Vanessa, a special needs teenager, two years ago. Through learning to manage her behaviors and teach her the sacrificial love of Jesus, they have found it truly takes a village to raise a child. From all God has taught them on this journey they started Vanessa’s Village. They tell their story through speaking engagements, guest speaking on various church retreats, blogging, writing a book, leading a prayer house, discipleship, and leading international mission trips.

Thank you for your partnership in this journey. Welcome to the village.

Sean: Redeemed from a dark road, this prodigal son pursues God above all else. His love of life and people is inspirational, and his faith encourages many around him to chase after the heart of a loving Father. He is an incredible leader and loves to share his story and share God’s Word with everyone around him. His personality is contagious, and Jesus is seen in all he does.

Marissa: Redeemed from a pursuit of religion, this daughter of Christ loves to see God touch those around her and bring them out of darkness and into a Great Light. Her zeal and exuberant heart inspire those around her to believe in redemption and to have open eyes to the Fatherless. She loves worship leading and speaking God’s Word through all He is doing in her life.

Vanessa: Redeemed from the labels of the world, this child of God loves life to the full. Her joy is contagious, and she is inspiring in her childlike faith and love. She is a lover of people, houses, baking, talking, and animals. Jesus’ love is evident in her life, and she is a constant inspiration to expect great things from our Great God.

Eliana: Oh how this little girl has already blessed our hearts. We know she is called to great things and is one to help lead people to the heart of God. We are blessed to parent her.
